Written in 2016, this piece was inspired by the philosophical question: What is the big bang?
Did this physical phenomenon actually happen in the past or is the concept expansion/contraction just a perception, approached from another side of the multidimensional spectrum?

This first story "Expansion/Contraction," exposes these questions, generating a dense mass through compressed sonic textures, which expands until an urgent tension explodes in microparticles, simulating the big bang theory.

The second story "Carabaliando," or the Dance of an Unborn Star, understands tempo as a pulse, and such as just a feeling that can be interpreted from multiples angles of a rhythmic instant.
Using the deceptiveness of an ancient African rhythmic cell, this movement is written as polyphony, prioritizing the metric units on each instrument as an individual mutable being that modulates within its own boundaries. I wanted to emphasize an organized but chaotic activity of the atoms and simulate their dance, crashing and converging in a space-time continuum.
